Hip Flexor Injuries

The hip flexor is often known as one of the tightest regions of the body. Sitting at a desk throughout the day is commonly attributed to hip flexor tightness as well as running, cycling, and weightlifting. Chronic hip flexor tightness can lead to low back pain, decreased range of motion in the hips/lower extremities, and even disc injuries. One of the primary hip flexors, the Psoas muscle, is a difficult area to treat without an expert’s hands to find and release it properly.

Signs and Symptoms:

·       Tightness in the quadriceps and hips

·       Low back pain while sitting for long periods of time

·       Pain while stretching or foam rolling low back or thighs

·       Hip or Quadriceps pain when running, walking, cycling, or lifting
