Sciatica

Sciatica is a symptom brought on by other underlying conditions occurring in the body. The term sciatica is used in the medical community to describe a type of leg pain, tingling, weakness, or numbness. It can also be associated with pain that travels down the back of the leg and started in the buttocks. This is the location of the sciatic nerve which is the largest nerve in the body.

 

Signs and Symptoms:

·       Pain, numbness, and tingling in the glues and leg

·       Increased discomfort with prolonged sitting

·       Pain with bending or twisting
