Tension Headaches

 Tension headaches are a common condition and frequently described as feeling like a vice or tight band wrapping around the head or traveling down into the neck and shoulders. This type of headache can vary from intermittent, dull pain throughout the day or week to severe discomfort impairing a person’s ability to focus or perform day to day activities.

 

Signs and Symptoms:

 •       Tight, band-like pressure around the head

•       Dull pain in the skull

•       Sensitivity throughout the shoulders, head, and neck

•       Pain located in the temples or base of the skull

•       Difficulty focusing and sleeping

•       Stress and poor posture
