Dr. Shawn Small has been involved in sports and fitness in some capacity his entire life. Playing traditional ball sports throughout grade school he eventually discovered his passion for cycling and endurance sports while attending Texas A&M University. Since then Dr. Shawn has raced his bike throughout the country at the elite and professional level gaining insight and knowledge in endurance sports from first hand experience. Being an athlete means that he speaks the language and can speak to various injuries and imbalances according to your specific sport. Dr. Small is passionate about serving such a thriving and active community in Fort Collins and chances are pretty good that you will see him on your weekly group ride or at local races regularly.

Natalie Small, DC

Doctor Natalie developed a love for all things outdoors at an early age. She grew up running, hiking and wakeboarding in the beautiful pacific northwest. Developing a passion for endurance sports after attending Washington State University, she decided that helping her fellow athletes was what she wanted to do as a career and moved to Dallas Texas to attend Parker University. She graduated at the top of her class in doctorate school while still training and competing at many local races and events. Doctor Natalie’s primary focus for her own training is competitive trail running and cycling. Aside from treating runners and cyclists, Doctor Natalie specializes in pregnancy and post partum strength training and loves helping mothers stay injury free throughout pregnancy after giving birth. If she’s not out on the trail running or riding her bike, Natalie loves taking her golden retriever Arlo (the designated Adapt office dog) on walks around town.

The Hawk

At Adapt Sports Therapy we chose the Red Tail Hawk to be a symbolic representation of our purpose and mission. The Red-Tail is one of the most ubiquitous and adaptable birds in the animal Kingdom. They can acclimate to a variety of environments, occurring on the edges of non-ideal habitats such as dense forests and sandy deserts as well as the front range of the Rocky Mountains. We want our athletes to approach their sport, training, and recovery with the robust adaptability of the Red-Tail in mind. At Adapt Sports Therapy we are here to help you roll with the changes of life and athletics so you can achieve optimum performance and sustainable health for years to come!
